Dubbed
by many as the Turkish ‘Game of Thrones”, Resurrection: Etrugrul has
made a name for itself especially in 2019. The show, originally in
Turkish as Dirilis; Ertugrul is a Turkish historical adventure and drama
television series based on true characters and events. The show’s first
season was aired on Turkish channel TRT 1 on December 10, 2014.
Historically,
Ertugrul was the father of Osman I, the founder of the Ottoman Empire.
Not much is known about the actual life of Ertugrul, but the one in this
series provides for some captivating inspiration and action for all the
viewers to enjoy.
Other than action, the show is also fairly historically accurate as it makes references to actual events that were happening at that time. So one just might become interested in the history of that area and the geopolitics of that time after watching this show.
One
of the reasons Ertugrul has become so popular is that it appeals to a

Duzaytan is of course, a fearless, chivalrous man of strong character
who won’t back down from his morals and principles. He continually
struggles for justice in the face of hardships and tries his best to
maintain his tribe’s traditions in the face of evolving challenges.
