The Art hidden inside the Johnny Depp
John Christopher Depp II (conceived June 9, 1963) is an American actor, maker, and artist. He has been designated for 10 Golden Globe Awards, winning one for Best Actor for his performance of the title job in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2008), and has been named for three Academy Awards for Best Actor, among other honors. He is viewed as one of the world's greatest film stars.
Seemingly the greatest movie star on the planet,Johnny Depp also likes to paint famous people. In an interview with Douglas Brinkley for Vanity Fair (July 2009), ), he stated, “What I love to do is paint people’s faces, y’know, their eyes. Because you want to find the emotion, see what’s going on behind their eyes.” Bellow Johnny painted Rolling Stone guitarist Keith Richards, he said of the piece: “He was one of the people I admired for what he has done and how he’s handled it. Forty-whatever years of being a god. And he’s just cool.” MVP had some not so ‘cool’ things to say about Depp’s technique as a painter.
As known, Johnny loves elephant and talked about during Ellen Degeneres Show in April 11, 2014 while playing "True or False" with Ellen. On the same show, Ellen asked how many elephants he had painted by far and he answered about 11, so Ellen asked one for his paintings for her. Laughing, he said he'd give her one on the next day, but this next day took 3 years. Only in May 18, 2017, Johnny finally gifted Ellen with a fresh and still wet portrait of an elephant which he had painted the night before.
